Summer Driver education course - Wednesday, April 29, 2026

Attention Families! 

 

Registration for the summer driver education course opens on Friday May 1st. 

 

Driver ed will begin on Monday, July 6th, and end on Thursday, July 30th. Classes and driving sessions are held Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off. To participate, students must be at least 16 years of age and possess a valid learner’s permit and/or driver’s license. The course will be held at Charles O. Dickerson High School in Trumansburg. Reviewing the course schedule carefully before enrolling is imperative, as 100% commitment is required. Because the curriculum meets strict NYS DMV requirements, attendance is mandatory for every scheduled class and driving session; no make-ups or extra sessions are provided. Missing any portion of the course for any reason will disqualify a student from earning a completion certificate. Students will remain with their assigned group for the duration of the program.  Note: This course is tuition-based and graded on a pass/fail basis. No letter grades or school credits are earned. Cost for the course is $350.00. Financial aid is available.
